Dennis Smith THE WOODLANDS Bronze Sculpture Statue on Wood Base SIGNED Trees Girl



Signed by the Utah artist "SMITH" and named THE WOODLANDS. The sculpture is approx. 5 1/2" tall X 3 5/8" wide & deep. The piece weighs 2 lb. 11 oz. The sculpture is in bronze on a wood base that has a felt bottom.
 
Dennis Smith’s work and presence has been a driving force in sculpture in the United States for the last 40 years. His work is located in hundreds of public and private collections, in museums and public squares throughout the entire United States and many countries of the world.
 
Dennis Smith is as much a philosopher as he is an artist. His work is a window into who he is and his views on life. At the core of Dennis’ work is the spirit of the human soul. We often see this represented through the innocence of childhood. To Dennis, the child is a metaphor for life. Children’s lives, as they explore the world around them, parallel our lives as adults as we discover our identity in this universe. Each piece by Dennis Smith captures this spirit, still vibrant and alive, frozen in the moment of discovery.
 
The piece may be dusty in some spots (I do not know how to clean bronze so I will leave that to it's proud new owner).  The wood shows a few little knicks (SEE PICS). The felt on the bottom shows some slight wear from being moved around on a shelf but it is complete and not coming loose.  I am not an expert on such items so if you know more than I, please feel free to message me and correct me.  I am giving you all the information I have at this time.

I am a one woman operated business - I am not a bookstore, retail chain or manufacturer, therefore almost all of my items are not new. I purchase or receive all my inventory secondhand (so I can't honestly know whether they are originally from a smoke-free or pet-free environment) and then they are stored at my smoke-free business. If you are very sensitive to smoke or pets, you would probably be better to buy them new from a retail store or from a first owner as your comfort is more important to me than any sale.
