This is a fabulous, vintage fishing creel basket.  It is made of wicker in a French Weave pattern.  It has leather strapping and a front pocket.  The strap is tooled.  It was made in British Hong Kong.  It has a ruler printed on the lid of the basket for getting an "accurate" measurement of your catch.  It has a great patina and shows a lot of age.  It is in good condition.  The leather handle in the back is broken and damaged.  The leather strap that holds the front buckle on the lid is broken.  The leather is aged and a little stiff.  The lid does not open easily.  It has signs of wear consistent with age.  But all of this makes it very cool for a display or decor.  It measures 17" long x 8" tall x 7" wide.  It weighs 1 lb 14 oz.  Please see photos for specifics on the condition of this fabulous, fly-fishing creel basket.
