This is a special cover from Benham, featuring the Millennium Timekeeper miniature sheet SG MS2123. Uniquely the cover carries two postmarks, one for 31st December 1999 and the other for 1^st January 2000. This is the first time that Royal Mail has ever allowed this, making the cover a very special philatelic collectible. So, far from being an ordinary First Day Cover it is a cover for the first day of the new millennium. Appropriately the postmarks are for Greenwich, the home of the Prime Meridian. All the covers issued are numbered from a Limited Edition of 10000 and this is No. 1699. The cover is also larger than most (240mm x 192mm) meaning my P+P for sending it to you has to be Large Letter post.
