Vintage brown tweed flecked coat with flared skirt. The flecks are mostly orange and yellow. This fabulous coat appears to be late 40s to early 50s in era.   It needs some TLC..mostly on the lining.

The coat has an oversized collar and extra large buttons (double breasted) on the front and on the sleeve cuff.  There is an attached tie and hidden vertical waist pockets in the seams.    The back has a pleat, sewn in belt at the back waist with a bug button in the center.  The skirt is gored.  A label inside reads, "Blue Style Garment, Montreal, Made in Canada."

Is in lined in a brown acrylic....The lining is damaged in places and seems to be pulling or puckering at the bottom.

MEASUREMENTS
are as follows:

*BUST - 40"

*WAIST - 34"

*HIPS - 48"

*LENGTH - Shoulder to Waist - 14", Waist to Hem - 28"

*SLEEVE LENGTH - 21"

*SHOULDER TO SHOULDER - 18 1/2"

CONDITION - GOOD.  I found a small hole near the front bottom, as well as a light stain (see photos).  The lining is the issue with this coat.  There are some repairs, tears at the armhole.  It almost appears like the coat may have been soaked and the lining has shrunk a bit as it puckers at the bottom.

Please NOTE: Most of my items are vintage and I cannot guarantee that they were not in a smoking or pet environment in their previous life. I do have a cat. Vintage clothing and accessories

***May have been in previous smoking environments.

***May have been in households with pets

***May have a musty odor due to its length in storage.

As a vintage seller I have made every attempt to ensure your vintage garment is free of odors at the time of shipment. However, it has been shown that undetected odors sometimes revive during shipping. This is due to the item being packaged in a confined space such as a box or envelope.

RECOMMENDED Tips to Revive Your Item

***Hang your garment outside in a dry shaded location for a few days

***Place your garment in a paper bag with newspaper for several days. The newspaper will absorb unpleasant odors. Change the newspaper frequently.

***Take your garment to a reputable dry cleaners. Dry cleaning should remove any smells if you request your item be deodorized.

I try my best to offer clean and odor free items but I DO NOT have them dry cleaned in order to offer them to you at a lower price.

I ship several times a week. Please allow extra time for Parcel Post. I will also ship by FedEx Ground for heavier items. Please let me know if you'd like to use this option.

Please email with any questions about payment. I will strive to ship within a day's time, but sometimes it is impossible to do so. I thank you for your understanding.
