This is a hand-carved wood sculpture.  It is a male figurine that is balled up with his head cradled in his hands and his legs crossed under him.  He is similar in some ways to The Thinker.  He looks like he is in anguish and regret.  He has somewhat webbed feet that are only visible from the underside.  It is a brutalist, abstract design that creates intense emotion.  It is not signed but it is a hand-crafted figurine, made in the USA.  It is a one-o oddity, perfect for your collection.  It is not your run-of-the-mill Hobby Lobby decor.  It measures 4.5" tall x 4.5" wide x 4" long.  It weighs 12 oz.  It is in good condition.  There is a crack on the top of his back.  That could be filled with wood putty and "fixed" but I kind of like the imagery of this man, who looks like he is carrying the weight of the world on his back cracking under the pressure.  It does not have a finish on it other than mineral oil.  It has quite a stark contrast in the grain and coloration of the wood, again, a beautiful metaphor for life.  Please see the photos for specifics on the condition of this unique, brutalist figurine.
