Up for bid is a fine Indian silver long cylindrical lidded box,
possibly for incense sticks, age unknown.
The box is 9 ½ inches long by ¾ inch diameter and weighs 64 grams. The slide-on lid is attached with a silver
chain with small bells at each end. The
lid and body are decorated with fine vine decoration in low relief. There are no marks; it does test as silver.
NOTE: I am selling a large accumulation of Indian silver,
some Hindu and some secular. Some pieces
appear to be quite old, others seem newer.
I am not an expert on Hindu practices or traditions; any errors in the
descriptions are unintentional.
Condition on the piece is good. There are just normal signs of use. A nice piece of Indian silver.
