A vintage sterling silver and enamel charm for the Mission Dolores in San Fransisco.

It is stamped STERLING and with the Elco Gladiator trademark.

Established in 1776 by the Franciscan order, the mission is the oldest
surviving building in San Francisco. Formally named Mission San Francisco
de Asís, after Saint Francis of Assisi, the mission was nicknamed
Mission Dolores after the nearby creek, Arroyo de Nuestra Señora de los
Dolores. The current mission building survived the Mexican War of
Independence, the California Gold Rush, and several earthquakes,
most notably the earthquake of 1906 that destroyed a nearby brick church.

Photographs show a coin & ruler for scale purposes. Photographs are enlarged to
show detail, they do not represent the actual size of the item. Please refer to the
dimensions and weights given on each listing.

Contrary to popular belief, U.S. law does not require precious metal jewelry to be
stamped with its precious metal content. UK law requires sterling silver items over
7.78 grams be hallmarked unless the mark would spoil the appearance of the item.
