The 1981 South American tour was the largest and most ground-breaking tour in Queen's live history. “Rocks South America ~ New Remastered Edition” is now available as the second best collection of the 1981 South American tour following MASTERWORKS “Rock Argentina ~ Complete Master Edition”! This time, there will be 7 performances in Argentina and Brazil held from February to March 1981 under the title ``SOUTH AMERICA BITES THE DUST'', and 7 performances held from September to October of the same year under the title ``GLUTTONS FOR PUNISHMENT''. A best collection of carefully selected footage and audio from six performances in Venezuela and Mexico that were broadcast on local TV and radio at the time. The CD includes the soundboard sound source of the February 28th performance, the first day in Argentina. The second performance in Argentina on March 1st, where all songs were broadcast live on TV, was recorded on CD & DVD as the first part, but the performance on February 28th was broadcast on local radio. This day's set list was different from the next day's performance, and it was notable that "Mustafa," "Death on Two Legs," and "Rock It" were performed, but unfortunately, "Get Down Make Love" was omitted. Although it has not been recorded, here it is supplemented with the sound board sound source of the Brazilian performance, making it a complete reproduction of the concert. This time, this radio broadcast sound board sound source is completely recorded with the latest AI stereo remaster from the high quality master of the rebroadcast. The longest version is included, including the ending concert report. DVD 1 includes a complete version of the TV broadcast pro-shot video of the Sao Paulo performance in Brazil on March 20, 1981, as well as a short version edited separately for the rebroadcast. DVD2 includes a complete version of the TV broadcast pro-shot footage of the September 27, 1981 performance in Caracas, Venezuela, which was the second South American tour. The problem with this performance is that it is not rebroadcast and the video footage from the TV broadcast at the time is dark, but it is a must-see video as the only surviving complete version of the valuable concert from the second South American tour. Furthermore, valuable film footage of the Rosario performance in Argentina and the Monterrey performance in Mexico are included as video extras, albeit in fragments. The 1981 South American tour marked the peak of Queen's live career and produced some of their best performances. Along with MASTERWORKS ``Rock Argentina'', this is a noteworthy title that is the second edition of the latest edition collector's edition that you cannot miss! !
