Vintage Omega Watch Ref. 2791-9 (Approx. 1951)

Vintage Omega is full of gems and this 33mm example from 1951 is no exception. The case is a Dennison case 13322. A silver dial that has developed some amazing speckled patina over the years is the back drop to some high polished silver alpha hands and time indices which are separated every hour with Arabic numerals. A brushed sub second dial sits at the bottom of the dial to complete the watch. The crown is unsigned.

The calibre 265 powers the watch which is a manual wind 15 jewel movement that I have dated to be manufactured in 1951.

The watch comes on a Omega branded spine mesh bracelet, it has 5 spines running across the width of the band that add strength and robustness and has a Omega signed clasp with 5 micro adjustments on it. The bracelet will fit up to 8 inch wrists.

The movement is clean and currently running well, keeping fine time for a watch of its age but I would recommend a service to increase its longevity.
