This is a stunning late 40s bronzy ribbed silk evening gown. The gown, personally, is very reminiscent of Victorian evening gown fashion, mostly near the turn of the century, and I am so living for it. The dress has an interesting neckline that is a deep scoop with a center panel of pleated soft net. Along the sides of the panel, the silk is folded back like a lapel and is trimmed in little ruffles of the same net. In the back the neckline scoops and is also trimmed in a net ruffle.  The bodice is fitted to the waist seam and has short sleeves. There is a matching fabric-covered belt that has a snap on the loose edge to hold it down. The skirt is a full A-line that falls to the floor and has a stunning sweep.  The dress is only lined in the front of the bodice with nylon to protect the stitching for the panel and keep everything smooth. It has a hidden metal side zip and there is a tag at the back of the neck from Ginza Noami Tokoy.

Condition:
The dress is in great condition with only two small things to note. There is a very faint scuf to the silk on the front of the dress near the waist seam but it is really hard to see. The belt also has a bit of scuffing but is not very noticeable. The dress has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
