Up for bid is a fine English sterling salver by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 1902-03.  The piece is 13 inches in diameter and stands 1 1/8 inches tall.  It weighs 929 grams.  It has a floral scroll and shell rim with three matching curved feet.  The top has elaborate floral scroll engraving.  It has not been monogrammed.  It is marked [JD&S], with Sheffield hallmarks for 1902-03.

Condition on the piece is fairly good.  The top has numerous scratches from use, and it has been polished many times, with lots of rubbing to the marks.  Still a fine and useful silver salver!
