Start Feedback With...Miri Hypo... as it helps other buyers see your reaction to the Prop.
We know you will LOVE this Prop, But if you Hate it?, 14 Day Returns are OK! Buyer pays Return USPS Priority Mail Shipping ONLY. Must be returned in the original box with all packaging and promotional materials.
NOT a pay-now and maybe get "later" kick-starter type of sale. These are In-Stock. Also, No PVC filler is hidden inside any of the machined-aluminum or acrylic parts. This repro is true to a Set-Used prop that I got special access to. Buyer beware if you purchase elsewhere...
We had 125 units. The last 60 shall be sold here on eBay. Do not wait and regret it later.
NOT a KIT, comes tested and fully assembled. Hard to believe at this price, right
This prop ships Boxed in Thermal Packs AND inside an outer padded "USPS Priority Overnight ®" envelope.
I Ship in Thermal Packs to protect Vials from extreme temps.
The shipping cost remains the same as the Last batch of Hyposprays (Mark 2 Design) as offered this past summer. I absorbed the shipping cost increase for Priority Thermal Packs.
This Hypospray version is most often referred to as the "Mark 2" design.
As seen in the Star Trek TOS Episodes; Miri, Naked Time, Dagger Of The Mind and, Wolf In The Fold (with the blue vial of "Anti-Terrorist" happy juice), to name just a few.
The hypospray does "click" back when opened 100% BUT there is No ball-catch that will "eject" the vial causing the vial to possibly break when it hits the floor.
Click-Foward, Clicks-Back, and rests anywhere in-beween thanks to the O-Ring design detail.
To match the Set-Version; I was given access to a Set-Used hypospray and it neither hissed NOR had any ball catch inside it. This made sense as soundtracks were overlaid on TV for special effects.
As opposed to other "reproductions" of this set used prop, susannetrek2012 (jonpaultrek2012®™) offers 100% polished aluminum construction. No PVC pipe fillers are hidden inside any aluminum parts.
Vial edge caps are de-burred for a smooth "hand".
Hypo and other parts are machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and Mirror Polished smooth.
Not plated, Polished!, clean with microfiber towels and rubbing alcohol only. Never use paper towel as paper towel contains has lime-dust from the manufacturing process.
Compare nowhere, to near identical metal reproductions for $450.00 or more (only we have these Right and right-now).
Set accurate size, materials, and details, just like on-set in the 1960’s.
Overall dimensions are in the photos of this listing.
Mirror Polished Aluminum, NOT PLATED OR ANODIZED.
Details are exquisite and the finish is an unmatched mirror polish.
Prop Hypo is assembled with threads, not glued.
All vials contain non-toxic distilled water and safe food coloring.
Vials are leak-tested, however, contact me within 7 days of receipt if you think the QC test failed and you have a leak. I can replace the Vial or you can exercise the 14-Day return option.
The “0” ring design provides a nice plunge feeling. No Hiss Sound, this design just can't be engineered to do that (I don't care what anybody has claimed, it was a dubbed-in sound effect and I inspected a Set-Used prop as there a quite a few survivors).
The lubricant inside the plunger casing is non-toxic Vaseline Brand petroleum jelly.
These Vials will not easily "Pop-Out" and crack when they hit the floor (within reason).
Removable Vile is secured with a closely toleranced-fit and a recently revised stronger magnet (we went to a stronger magnet to respond to customer feedback). Unlike many similar replicas, on my Prop you do not have to be a gorilla to remove the vial (LOL).
History Of The Fictional Hypospray
A Hypospray is a medical device from the science fiction television series Star Trek. It's similar to a jet-injector, a real medical device, with the main difference being that the fictional medical device doesn't penetrate the skin.
The concept of the hypospray was developed when producers of the original Star Trek series discovered that NBC's broadcast standards and practices prohibited the use of hypodermic-syringes to inject medications; the needleless hypospray sidestepped this issue.[1] The prop used in the original series appeared to be a modified fuel injector for a large automotive diesel engine, similar to the engines from which jet injectors were derived.[2]
In the Star Trek universe, the Hypospray was developed by the mid-22nd century, as it is featured in Star Trek: Enterprise. Dr. McCoy in Star Trek: The Original Series is seen using it often with mostly a Red-Vial (longer red vial in “Miri” episode), with Blue (Methuselah) and Warm yellow vial’s, making brief appearances as in “Whom Gods Destroy”.
The fictional device applies medication by spraying it onto the skin, and can be used directly or through clothing.[3] The real-life jet injector is usually applied at the top of the arm, but the fictional hypospray is sometimes applied at the neck. It administers medication subcutaneously and intramuscularly.[4]
The fictional Hypospray is extremely versatile, as the medicine vials can be quickly swapped out from the bottom of the Hypospray. As the Hypospray is bloodless, it is not contaminated by use. This allows it to be used on many people until the supply of medicine runs out.

The Fictional Hypospray as Researched By Episode Views and, on Memory Alpha:
Hypospray TOS Episodes included (among many): "Amok Time" Red vial, "Where No Man Has Gone Before" Red vial, also seen in “Naked Time” Red vial, “Whom Gods Destroy” Red vial and, “Plato’s Stepchildren” featuring; Red, Yellow, and Blue vials. The 23rd-century Federation Fictional hypospray resembled the intravenous needles of previous centuries, while the 24th-century version of the device was more compact, employing an angled head and rounded tip to transfer the drug more easily. Controls at the injection head set the dosage to be injected.
