Offered in this auction is the official Moto Guzzi 85^th Anniversary T-shirt! In 2006 the Moto Guzzi factory celebrated its 85^th year of existence, being the oldest European motorcycle manufacturer that produced motorcycles continuously since its start in 1921.

The celebration was in style. For two days, named the “Giornate Mondiali Guzzi” (in English the “world Guzzi days”) the factory was made open for the public, attracting over 15,000 Guzzisti from all over the world. During this fantastic 85^th anniversary party this T-shirt was offered for sale exclusively by the Guzzi factory. We have obtained a few very rare extra ones directly from the factory, one of which is offered for sale in this auction.

The T-shirt is of excellent quality and made of 100% cotton. The printing on both the front and the back is of excellent quality as well, it is really nicely detailed. The shirt is very durable and very pretty as well. On the front it shows the Giornate Mondiali Guzzi text and logo’s, on the rear it is made clear that the factory existed 85 years in 2006!

The shirt also shows the famous Guzzi logo with the mighty Guzzi eagle above it, as since the start of Moto Guzzi in 1921 the eagle is the symbol of Moto Guzzi. The shirt is full of other symbolism as well. Take for instance the color of the shirt, Guzzi’s official racing color was (and still is) red! To celebrate its unequalled record of 3,300 racing wins during the factory’s existence, the for Guzzi so honorary red color was selected for this magnificent 85^th Anniversary shirt.
