Professionally rebacked in cloth colored as original with original front illustration and spine title attached. New End-pages. The bindings are tight and square. Text clean, light even toning. Minimal shelf handling wear. Some dampstaining to some pages and plates but not affecting the image

This is the account of a trip to the tropics to collect ornithological specimens in 1892. It is interestingly told, with many photographs and illustrations and with observations of the people as well. A good bibliography is given on Colombia and Curaçao."
