Chlorastrolite is the the scientific name for these bluish green stones, however they are commonly known as "Isle Royale Greenstone" as that is the island where they were first discovered. The location is now highly protected and no Greenstones are allowed to be removed from there so all of our Greenstones are ethically & legally obtained from inland Keweenaw Peninsula sources.

The cabochon above features lovely chatoyancy, and what we refer to as a "Dark Beauty".

The total weight is 1g.

We hand cut and polished this lovely stone but please note that we didn't cut a girdle onto the bottom of it.
