Description

For your consideration I have an exceedingly rare grouping of original Cincinnati, Ohio 1919 World Series newspapers.  According to the Reds Hall of Fame, some of these examples are the only ones known to still exist. What is fascinating about the papers is the amount of flagrant mob betting going on in Chicago and Cincinnati that is being reported in these papers. There are a number of rare photographs found throughout including those of Shoeless Joe Jackson and bizarre stories concerning the series. These papers were collected over many years by a Maineville, Ohio friend of mine back in the 1960’s.

Condition Report: As expected with newspapers of this era there is damage including edge flaking and paper loss. They are still here which in itself makes this a miracle.
