Dendrochilum cornutum, growing in sphagnum moss in a 60mm pot. It is naturally a warm to cool growing epiphyte of Borneo, Java and Sumatra. It grows at various elevations between 200 and 2400m, being very adaptable and easy to grow.

It usually flowers in spring, delicate flower spikes emerging from the new growths, presenting lines of starry white flowers on arching ~10cm long spikes. They are lightly scented. Individual flower size is about 6mm wide.

The orchid will need water every few days as a guide, medium indirect light, fertiliser used weakly every week or fortnight. Can also be readily grown in orchid bark.
