This bank is made from 3/4" walnut and has a size #2 "Grecian" Post office box door mounted on the front.  The overall outside dimensions are approximately 6 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" tall by 10 1/2" deep. Inside dimensions are approximately 5 3/4" high by 5" wide by 9 1/2" deep. This allows for a large enough space inside to serve as a gun safe as well as a very large coin bank, or a multitude of other uses. The shelf can be removed by dismounting the door which is held on by 4 small screws and then remounting the door. The combination works easily and of course the combination and instructions comes with the unit.
