Japan 1832-1868 Old Pre-Meiji coin set.  These 4 coins are actual square coins that circulated in Japan in the 1800's.

Description of the coins:

   Large gold coin is:      Nibu  from the Meiji Era,  1868,                        Weight  3g,  22.3% pure gold

   Small gold coin is:      Nishu from the Tempo Era,  1832-1858  ,        Weight 1.62g  (this is a small coin)

   Large silver coin is:    Ichibu from Tempo or Ansei Era,  1837-1868,  Weight 8.6g  80% pure silver

   Small silver coin is:    Ishhu  from the Kaei Era,  1853-1865,              Weight 1.89g
