These stainless steel wire balustrade infill kits are the ideal simple, cost effective way of providing that professional look to any patio or decking area surround.
Made using 4mm diameter marine grade (316) stainless steel firm wire rope (1x19 type construction) that gives the wires a smooth sturdy finish. The wire fixings and turnbuckle tension adjusters are also made with marine grade stainless steel to give a long lasting product.
This post to post wire system is easy to fit and requires the very basic of DIY skills. Just a bit of careful measuring from you to get the correct working length of the wire (see diagram) is all that is required.
All the wires are constructed with the 2 ends crimped in our workshop to the measurements that you provide. Please note the 9, 10, 11 & 12metre lengths all have a rigging screw each end, to allow correct tensioning.
As shown in the Decking Balustrade wire diagram the posts at each end of the wire run have wood screw threaded eyes screwed into them. The wire assembly has a fork terminal swaged onto the wire at one end and a turnbuckle with a fork and a threaded wire terminal swaged onto the other end. Each infill wire is connected to the wood screw eyes in the posts via the fork terminals each end. Once attached the wire assembly can be tensioned using the turnbuckle. This should allow plus or minus 40mm of adjustment so the correct tension can be achieved.
If you require the wire to pass through any intermediate posts the wire terminal end that is attached to the turnbuckle can be unscrewed from the body. This will allow the threaded end of the wire to pass through an 8mm hole drilled in the intermediate posts then be re-connected to the turnbuckle.
