This sword breaker or sword catcher is based on numerous museum examples. The dagger is used in the Right hand with the teeth pointing downward and used to trap your opponent's blade. A classic Renaissance piece.
Sword Breaker Dagger is based on an early 17th century style Reproduction by EGKH Expert Black Smith. Daggers such as this were often wielded in the off hand as a parrying weapon in conjunction with a rapier. The unique blade style was used to trap the opponents blade, and in some cases snap it off. The guard and pommel are made of steel, while the grip is wood with a Brass and Zinc wire wrap.
