This listing features a very unique vintage Chinese string puppet doll. The handmade marionette doll came back from a gentleman named Jack Hunter after World War 2.Hunter served in Germany during World War 2 as a translater and later wrote the best-seller Blue Max. He lived here in St. Augustine,Florida and I got to know him and his wife Shirley ( Tommy) personally. Jack received this marionette from an officer who had served in Burma & China at the end of the war and later was transfered to the end of the European theatre.
The marionette is 21' inches in length.
