For sale is a very nice and unique antique DATED 1873 Burl wood veneer document box.  All viewable sides of this box have burl wood veneer with very fine and clear BURL grain patterns.

Overall it is in stable condition with a few scratches and some antique wear.  Hinges are stable. Box shuts well and in good alignment. 

Engraved and decorative brass plaque reads:

"To Mary Ramsay 

From

April 29th 1873"
