• Antique Edwardian Plastron or Dickie  Collar, early 20th C.

Here we have a delicate antique Edwardian palstron or dickie collar.  This piece is made of machine-made lace, ribbon, embroidery, knotting and bead work. The collar is small, perhaps for a child or highly petite adult. The age is approximately 1908-1911. The knotting is otherwise known as a passementerie embellishment, reflecting a chinoiserie influence.  That is further revealed in the pink/coral/sage coloring.  From the top of the short ruffled collar to the bottom of the bib measures 5-1/2”.   From side to side it measures approximately. The width is 8” at the broadest point. There is one pinhole gap in the lace on the backside (see photo).   Otherwise this pre-owned textile is in good condition. You are welcome to the stand at no cost except shipping. Let me know if you want it shipped.
