A 3 1/4 inch tall cylinder-shaped clear-glass antique EYE WATER embossed bottle.  This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to the late 1800's.

Back in the 1800's when this product was on the market, eye water wasn't just eye water, but it was advertised as a miraculous CURE or REMEDY that cured diseases of the eyes, loss of sight, even blindness, which is what makes them so interesting to collect today.   Some of them had a narcotic ingredient (opium / morphine) leading folks to believe that the product was curing the problem when in actuality, it was just the narcotic making the hurt go away.  Many collectors of these antique eye remedy bottles are Optometrists and Medical Doctors themselves, as they are building collections that show the history of the eye medicine industry.   This is a classic example of what a 19th century eye water bottle was, and would look very nice displayed in a case stationed in the waiting room or office of an eye specialist.   It is an excellent example of an EMBOSSED eye water/drops/cure/medicine bottle, check it out!
