A vintage used Japanese lacquered suzuribako calligraphy set. The box features mother of pearl calligraphic inlay with a black lacquer finish. There is a removable interior panel which is the setting for the tools to rest on. The set includes the box, an ink stone, small and medium calligraphy brushes, a porcelain water dropper, an iron ware paper weight, and an unused vintage ink stick made by Genshodo. The set is in good condition, please see photos which provide detail of the traces of wear to the box lid and a hairline fracture to the lacquer on the side of the box. Sold as found.
