Description:
A very nice, sound first edition rebound by Christian (of Eastbourne) in half calf and cloth-covered boards, spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering and detailing to compartments. Top edge gilt. Externally sound and firm with spine lightly sunned. Internally sound and firm. Marbled endpapers with binder's stamped signature to verso of ffep. Half-title with gift inscription in ink, dated at Eton, July 1912. Pages with some light foxing, else clean and tidy throughout. Plates remain clean and bright with guard-sheets present. Folding plan in very good order, still in original folds, and without tears.
