You get the tape in the pictures, these are wound tails out, so they need to be rewound onto a take up reel and then play back onto this reel. Or fast forward and then play in reverse on an auto reverse deck. This only plays in one direction at 7.5 IPS.
You can of course record over this and use both directions. This is a standard 1/4" tape, 4 tracks.
The music is clear, there are test tones at the beginning and end of the tape.
