DescriptionBeautiful early 20th century (possibly older) Chinese silk purse or sent pouch with silk embroidered double happiness symbol on one side and a ancient prosperity medallion on the other side. Royal purple brocade cloth shows a light lotus flower motif with additional metallic thread embellishments as highlights and delicate decorations. Yellow silk chord draw strings with decorative tassels. Interior is completed with a bright pink decorative silk cloth and includes a small pocket at one side. Interior is lightly scented. Purse measures 8 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. Includes original vintage cardboard box with tissue. Box is covered with a very nice block printed Chinese paper flower pattern. Box shows aging with old clear tape repairs to corners and some loss at one side and edges/corners. Box measures 2 3/4 x 8 7/8 x 7 3/4 inches. Send questions.
