World Rubik's Cube Championship in Budapest. 1982

Budapest. The capital of Hungary hosted the first World Rubik's Cube Championship, in which participants from 9 countries competed. The winners were determined by an international jury headed by the inventor of the “cube”, Hungarian Erno Rubik... The winner was 116-year-old American Mins Thai, who took only 22.95 seconds to “solve” the cube.
