Nice 10" blue and white plate commemorating America's Cup defender Ranger.  Class J Sloop Built by Bath Iron Works, owned and operated by Harold S Vanderbilt in 1937.  The sloop was never defeated in a race.  The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.  Made in Staffordshire, England by Alfred Meakin.
