This wonderful rare, antique metal or tinplate, working wind-up, dancing circus bear 🐻 was manufactured by the S.G. Gunthermann Company in the 1880s in Germany. Standing almost 8" (eight inches) tall he holds a long bar across his shoulders and dances back and forth when the key wind-mechanism is turned. He wears a very cute, yellow molded metal hat with painted red ribbon and has big painted eyes and original worn, dark brown painted with molded fur. He works perfectly with a strong winding mechanism and just needs the small round metal nose ring that attaches through the holes in his nose replaced. No damages, dents or repairs (normal paint wear as shown could be repainted).

Our other antique, Gunthermann, cream fur mechanical, wind-up circus bear in last three photos 🐻 is not included and listed separately.
