Plot

In middle school, Shoyo Hinata gets super into volleyball after watching Karasuno High School play in the Nationals on TV. Even though he's not tall, he's inspired by a short but amazing player nicknamed 'The Little Giant.' Hinata joins his school's volleyball club, but it turns out he's the only member. For two years, he tries to get others to join him.

Finally, in his last year of middle school, some friends agree to join so Hinata can compete in a tournament. But in their first official game, they get crushed by a team led by Tobio Kageyama, a super skilled and kind of mean setter known as 'The King of the Court.' Hinata vows to beat Kageyama in high school.

Hinata gets into Karasuno High School, where the "Little Giant" played, but is surprised to find Kageyama there too. The school's volleyball team, once great, is now considered weak. However, by combining Kageyama's smart setting with Hinata's amazing jumps, they create a powerful new tactic and become an awesome setter-spiker duo.

As they work together, Hinata and Kageyama push each other to be their best. Hinata builds strong connections with his first real team, and Karasuno sets out to redeem their reputation and reach the Nationals.

Hinata and Kageyama dream of being pro volleyball players and promise to play together after high school. They share a special bond, dedicating their lives to each other and the sport they love.
