Here is a beautiful, early, quality made, h. B. J trumpet cornet, in its case with khan-chambers mouthpiece, and several music booklets. The beautiful h. B. J trumpet cornet, made in Chicago illinois, is a beautiful instrument that is complete and has aged well over the last 101 years. There is beautiful in ornate inscription on the bell of the trumpet cornet, and the inside of the Bell is a gold tone, which is a beautiful accent to the silver tone body of the trumpet. The serial number 7678 indicates that the instrument was made in 1922. The khan-chambers mouthpiece is a very quality mouthpiece that adds to the quality of the instrument. I always recommend taking the instrument to a music store for servicing and cleaning before you use. Key one in particular is a bit sluggish, likely due to years of storage, and need for some lubrication and cleaning. I have not tried to clean the instrument, it reflects a good bit of patina, but I do not want to hurt the instrument by trying to polish it. But this beautiful early h. B. J Columbia ornately inscribed trumpet cornet made in Chicago Illinois in 1922, with a rough, but still usable case without handle, and with several music books in the case, and with khan-chambers mouthpiece, will make a terrific addition to your early 1900s era musical instrument or brass band, jazz band, orchestra related brass band musical instrument collection, quality made iconic long out of business h. B. J musical instrument collection, or quality made early cornet or trumpet or musical instrument related historical artifact memorabilia collection.
