Ashwagandha, whose scientific name is Withania somnifera, is a popular herb used in Ayurveda. It can also be referred to as Indian ginseng or winter cherry. The exotic Indian herb has been used from way back by traditionalists. The Ashwagandha plant is a small shrub that has yellow flowers and oval leaves which is later on crushed to obtain the herbal extracts. The fresh roots from the herb have a uniquely horsey smell.

Ashwagandha Powder has a mild but bitter flavour and contains a number of important nutritional components including fatty acids, amino acids and a variety of sugars, and has a reputation for boosting the body's supply of antioxidants, whilst maintaining a healthy immune system.

SUGGESTED USE:

 

POWDER: We recommend adding 1 teaspoon to water, juice or a smoothie. Stir/shake and consume, once or twice daily (up to 5g per day).
