Two popular plays by John Osborne, the noted playwright he is best known for 'Look Back in Anger'. He was one of the first writers to look at the purpose of Britain in the post-imperial age, a theme which is evident in these two plays.

'The Entertainer' follows a failing music-hall performer in the age of early rock and roll. The original stage production starred Laurence Olivier.

'The World of Paul Slickey' satirises tabloid press and high society gossip columnists


CONDITION

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, fine, with very light bumping to the head and tail of the spines. Dust wrappers are lightly edge worn. Minor age-toning to the wraps with some light marks, heavier to the reverse of 'Paul Slickey'. Ink crossing out to the price on the front flyleaf of 'Paul Slickey'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
