Dated via Jisc. Complete in twenty seven volumes as issued, with fourteen volumes being the novels, and fourteen volumes being miscellanies. The Pocket Edition in the original publisher's uniform cloth bindings with gilt lettering.

William Makepeace Thackeray was a famous English novelist known for his satirical works such as Vanity Fair, portrait of British Society, and The Luck of Barry Lyndon, later adapted for a Stanley Kubrick film.

CONDITION

In the original publisher's uniform full cloth bindings, titles in gilt to spine. Externally very smart with light bumping to head and tail of spine. Minor marking to front board 'The Irish Sketch Book, with gentle minor damp marking to head and tail of spine. Minor mark to front board 'The Virginians' I. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting to edges affecting occasional leaf, particularly endpapers. Pages otherwise generally bright and clean.
