DESCRIPTION

The first edition of this very scarce work.

Illustrated with a frontispiece.

Presented as a collection of linked stories, this work is narrated by a journalist living in 1960s London, who is investigatingĀ the life of Prime Minister Bolsover. It is revealed that Bolsover was involved in the fight for suffrage, and prevented the First World War.

The work climaxes in the revelation that Bolsover is a woman in disguise, pretending to be male because her sex prevented her from openly pursuing a life in Politics.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Marks to rear board. Binding significantly strained between contents leaf and first page of chapter 1, otherwise firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
