to IDE adapter to facilitate the use of CF cards on a standard IDE.

CF card is a kind of low price electronic disk card, which is widely used in notebook computers, personal digital assistants (PDA), portable instruments, or industrial equipment. In the electronics factory, people use CF cards as hard disks to store test software, because it is easy to damage traditional mechanical hard disks by frequently turning on/off the computer power.

Main purpose:

-Computer peripheral equipment manufacturers use CF - IDE cards together with CF cards to test motherboards, sound cards, video cards and other products. In these situations, the power needs to be turned on/off frequently. Traditional mechanical hard drives are easily damaged. CF is an electronic hard disk, which is different from mechanical hard disk in principle and is not easy to be damaged in these occasions.Portable instruments using embedded X86 or RISC kernel usually have IDE interfaces. If the CF card cannot be directly connected to these instruments, you can use this adapter to complete the transfer.

-Personal computers (PC): These computers are usually X86 or RISC kernel, which is the main platform for this card. Some digital cameras have CF card interface, and you can access your picture data on the desktop through this card.

-The industrial PC uses this card together with the CF card to store the embedded operating system, such as the embedded for LINUX or for WIN CE. You can also use the CF card as a portable hard drive, data can be moved at will.
