    Valid for engines: Mercedes Benz M157, M276 and M278.

     

    Original number 276589003300. Replace JTC - 6637

     

    Installation Procedure:

    1.Expose cylinder head.Cover chain bay with suitable cloth. NOTE: Secure small parts.

     

    2.Insert check valve in intended bore. NOTE: Closed end with ball must|point towards rear and open side with thread to the front.

     

    3.A spring inside the check valve controls the oil feed to the cylinder head, keeps the oil pressure constant and|prevents the chain rattling.

     

    4.Using the press-in tool, press the check valve flush into the bore.Screw press-in tool to cylinder head surface.


    5.Screw in thrust spindle until pressure plate contacts the cylinder head surface flush.Check valve is pressed in.Disassemble press-in tool.Check if check valve is flush with cylinder head surface.Reinstallation the removed parts.
