This image was the winner of a contest to be the poster that would announce the “Our Lady of the Pillar” festivities of 1973 made by Daniel Sánchez Millán under the name of "Splendid Lighthouse/ Faro Espléndido"

The scene depicts Our Lady of the Pillar (see picture 6 to compare) and in the upper part the Cathedral of Zaragoza (see picture 5 to compare), there is a strong light behind the Virgin (a vanishing point giving depth) that obscures the Virgin and creates diagonal rays that give a high degree of movement to this image, There are two predominant colours that stand out: red and yellow, which coincide with the colors of the regional flag of Aragon and national flag of Spain.

The “Fiestas del Pilar” is an annual festival celebrated in the city of Zaragoza which takes place every year, usually, beginning the weekend of or before 12 October, and lasts until the following Sunday.

Our Lady of the Pillar is the name given to the Blessed Virgin Mary in the context of the traditional belief that Mary, while living in Jerusalem, supernaturally appeared to the Apostle James the Greater in AD 40 while he was preaching in what is now Spain. Those who adhere to this belief consider this appearance to be the only recorded instance of Mary exhibiting the mystical phenomenon of bilocation. Among Catholics, it is also considered the first Marian apparition, and unique because it happened while Mary was still living on Earth.
