First editions, in the publisher's original paper wraps.
Very scarce.
Complete in two volumes.
Edited by Colin Burgess, Peter Topping, Claude Mordant and Margaret Maddison.
This work presents the enclosures and defences in the Neolithic of Western Europe, with chapters on Britain, Northern France, Western France, Denmark and Germany.
The papers compiled for this work were largely provided at a conference on the subject under the Department of Adult Education of the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. The conference was said to show how repetitive certain features were throughout the different regions, examining similarities between human remains, votive objects and offerings.
With diagrams, illustrations and photographs to accompany the text throughout.
The occasional ink annotations and highlighter addition from a previous owner. With the ink inscription of Joan W. Ducy dated 1989 to the front endpaper of part i.
