This is an original press photo. Cookie Brinkman, Football. Louisville, Ky--Flag Football--Cookie Brinkman, a senior end on the University of Louisville football team, inspects his helmet, which has American flag decals on both sides. Head coach Lee Corso, who decided on the decals, insists there's no political motivations behind the unique designs. "We're not trying to offend anyone," Corso said. "It's a symbol of what I've been teaching." Corso says his team will be the only one in the country with flag decals. Photo measures 8 x 10 inches. Photo is dated 09-10-1970.
