WW2 era Brown Glazed Tea Pot / Brown Betty Tea Pot .
Over 2 Pint Capacity .
I managed to get nearly 3 Pt. of water in but was a bit full - safer to say 2 - 2.5 Pint ?.
14.5cm tall approx base to top edge ( not lid )
25cm spout tip to handle
Maker unknown - lid marked marked MADE IN ENGLAND
Base has yellow makers stamp A1B ?
Large A with 1 B above and below cross bar - MADE IN ENGLAND ( Unknown maker - any ideas ? )
Roughly made teapot ( Wartime ) - knocks to rim under glaze and rough glaze on spout tip.
Not chips - pre glaze factory faults .
Some light storage marks to outer
Some dully hazing to glaze as shown in places
Noticed when taking photos the lid knob has a small chip ( maybe 2 small chips ) on underside of knob and also on underside rim edge .
Great looking old China Teapot of WW2 period
Suit WW2 Home Front Tea Party / Prop / Use etc
