Offered is a selection consisting of one authentic Udolpho Wolfe's Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps bottle, dating between 1860 and 1870.The bottle is Hand Blown In Mold manufacture style(BIM),with applied cork top finish. The lot includes:
1)—An 8 3/8” tall, 2 1/4" square, classic schnapps bottle, tall applied wedge top lip, dug in New Orleans, in one of the unique hard to call Udolpho colors, kind of a yellow gasoline color , strong embossment strike. There is a partially open bubble on the "U" in Udolpho".Heavy ground hazing and patina is present, I feel a good cleaning would really release the true light color of this bottle, and it could take its place on the lighter end of a color run, last picture shows bottle moistened, true color shows.
