The Apothecary Diaries (The Apothecary Diaries) is a Japanese light novel by Natsu Hyuga.

Nekoneko, a girl who helps her adoptive father, a doctor, as a pharmacist in a flower town, is kidnapped in a forest where she goes to gather medicinal herbs and sold as a servant girl to the imperial palace. She plans to work discreetly until the end of the year, but when she solves the mystery of the prince's weakness, she catches the attention of the beautiful eunuch, Jinji, and is asked to help solve various cases.

Eventually, the disappearance of the favored princess leads to a plot to overthrow the state, involving Neko Neko. Then, the true identity of the Imjin Clan is revealed. The relationship between the two changes subtly.
