A 3 1/2" tall irregular hexagon-shaped deep COBALT BLUE colored antique POISON bottle.  This bottle has a paper label on it "POISON ... Acid ... ANTIDOTE ... Dean's Jewelry & Drug Store ... FORSYTH, MONTANA".  This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to very early 1900.

A nice looking antique poison bottle, note that label has the word POISON and a picture of a SKULL and cross-bones on it.  Some of these bottles say "POISON" - "POISON" on them, on each of the sides, they are cataloged as KI-1 bottle.  The KI-2, like this one, do NOT actually have the word "POISON" embossed on them.  What is great about antique poison bottles is the unique shapes and forms and/or the unusual colors they come in.  They often have fancy embossed pictures of the skull and crossbones motif and extraordinary embossed patterns (like this bottle is an unusual shape and it is fully embossed with horizontal  'warning' lines).   These were all things to let a user know, by sight and feel, that this bottle contained something that was not to be consumed.  About 20 years ago we were contacted by the descents of Dean, who still had some of the old drug store and jewelry stock in the building which was part of the old hotel/saloon that stands along the RR tracks in Forsyth.  Among the bottles were just a few with the DEAN'S JEWELRY & DRUG STORE labels, one poison bottle, CHECK - IT - OUT!
