Owlpen Manor House Gloucestershire 1937 Vintage Print from a disbound book about Britain dated 1937, the reverse side has an unrelated picture.

Caption beneath the picture - OWLPEN MANOR, GLOUCESTERSHIRE Owlpen, a small sixteenth-century manor-house of grey Cotswold stone, lies under the shoulder of the hill, or" pen," above Uley (from which its name is derived), and is sheltered from the north by hanging beechwoods. In the nineteenth century the house was considered too small and primitive for its Victorian owners, who built themselves a larger house higher up the hill and kept Owipen in repair as a historical curiosity.

Suitable for framing, the average picture size is approx 7.25" x 9" or 18.5cm x 22.5cm, actual page size inc border and text approx 8.5" x 10.75". Border can be very narrow, please view scans.

This is a vintage print, printed on magazine style paper, not a modern copy and does show signs of age or previous use commensurate with the age of the print with possible light creases, marks or foxing.
