1971 Gibson EB-2D Bass

The serial number is "619435" which dates it to 1970-1972. It has the "Made In USA" on the back of the headstock but no volute. One of the pots also dates to January 1971 (137-7104). The body is in excellent condition overall and there are no major dings. There are some scratches, scuffs and general wear, but pretty remarkable for a vintage guitar. No cracks, modifications or structural issues.

The neck is straight and the frets show only light wear. It's in excellent playing condition and has no major issues. The fretboard and back of the neck are clean and have no major dings or worn areas. The headstock has a few small nicks around the edges, but no cracks, repairs or extra holes. The nut is 1.50" wide, the neck measures 0.85" thick at the 1st fret and 1.01" thick at the 12th fret.

The hardware and electronics are original and in excellent working condition. The bridge cover is missing. It comes in the original case which has some light wear on the outside. All of the latches, hinges and handle are in excellent working order and the interior has no bad odors.

Actual weight is 8 lbs 9 oz.

Please note that I do not set up my guitars before mailing. I have played it and everything is great as far as I'm concerned, but you may need to change the strings, adjust the action or do other maintenance to get it to your preferences.
