Flawless Northwood 1901 Pan-American Exposition Stripe Opalescent White Jack-in-the-Pulpit Vase

Very Scarce Northwood 1901 Pan-American Exposition Stripe Opalescent White Glass Vase. This vase has a Jack-in-the-Pulpit Top with an Applied Rigaree Neck Collar and features a fancy embossed Wreath Medallion on the front.  In the center of the medallion, it reads - ‘PAN AMERICAN 1901’,

Very few examples of the early Northwood Pan-American Vases, made in 1901 for the World’s Fair in Buffalo, have surfaced over the years.  Perhaps its because National Glass Company (aka, Northwood) only began its operations in 1899 in Indiana, PA, while at the same time replicating a ‘temporary’ glass-making factory on the grounds at the Pan-American Exposition.  Vases have been found in blue, white, cranberry, and yellow (Vaseline) glass with white opalescent stripe; also in blue & white spatter glass; and in a couple of solid colors including clear.

The Antique Pan-Am Expo Vase measures 6-1/2" tall by approx. 4" in diameter at its widest with a 2-1/8" diameter footed base.  The vase is in Flawless Condition with NO chips, cracks, or repairs.  Its Overall Condition, commensurate with age of 123 years (and in unused condition as a bud vase), is SUPERB, OUTSTANDING, & EXCELLENT!!
